For more than 20 years I have studied New Orleans through the lens of my camera. During that time, I have learned to appreciate her nuances, forgive her faults, relish the beauty of her architecture, savor the uniqueness of her culinary and musical heritage. With each click of the camera I treasure this place a little more. These are my thoughts in words and pictures.

Super Bowl XLVII : New Orleans Shines as Host

The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau hired Kathy Anderson Photography to document how New Orleans handles a Super Bowl. Through the lens we captured everything from Beyonce to Bourbon Street including a most gracious greeting of guests at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, a fabulous media party at Mardi Gras World that included a performance by Dan Akroyd, the captivating smile of Drew Brees as he announced winners of a contest for Non-Profits, James Carville and Mary Matalin as they dance to the sound of New Orleans Musician Irma Thomas and the glow of The Mercedes-Benz Superdome at night. Here is a glimpse of some of the images produced by the KAP team (Kathy Anderson, Doug Parker, Rusty Costanza, Susan Poag, and Scott Threlkeld) that tell the story of our city being the best host in the nation.
More to come at Kathy Anderson Photography.
