For more than 20 years I have studied New Orleans through the lens of my camera. During that time, I have learned to appreciate her nuances, forgive her faults, relish the beauty of her architecture, savor the uniqueness of her culinary and musical heritage. With each click of the camera I treasure this place a little more. These are my thoughts in words and pictures.

New Orleans Great Venues

New Orleans is the perfect playground for event planners. The venue choices are so varied, from “off the wall” to the epitome of elegance. This is the first of occasional posts about some of the places I have photographed.

Dutch Alley in the French Market,  912 N Peters Street
It is one of the hidden gems of a party places. When the Women’s Business Council South held an opening reception in the alley, guests marveled at the beauty of the location.

The US Freedom Pavilion in the National WWII Museum, 945 Magazine Street
The combination of the dramatic architecture of this building, it’s artifacts and the shear sense of history of a war that affected millions makes this one of the most thought provoking venues in the city.  Accent on Arrangements, Inc. made the most of the space with patriotic colors adding a a bright, festive atmosphere.
