For more than 20 years I have studied New Orleans through the lens of my camera. During that time, I have learned to appreciate her nuances, forgive her faults, relish the beauty of her architecture, savor the uniqueness of her culinary and musical heritage. Another day without Jazzfest because of the coronavirus has been spent going through my photo archive. Today, I found Charmaine Neville, who was part of the portrait project about musicians performing at the Fest in the early 1990s. So, instead of attending, I will listen to WWOZ today and look forward to next year’s Fest....
